To succeed in preserving life on Earth our rebellion needs to get better, bigger, bolder – which comes at a cost. Every donation, be it money, time or space is essential to our success.
There are a number of crowdfunders you can give to. You can choose a one off, or a monthly donation. There’s more information about these on our Donate page.
We can also accept money via PayPal.
If you’d like to speak to our fundraising team please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We always need talented people. If you have skills to offer, e.g. graphic design, accountancy, fundraising (among many others) please contact email@example.com.
Across the country we have an increasing need for permanent office spaces and temporary meeting places to help mobilise the local population. If you have a space to offer please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are collecting auction items worth £100 or more – antiques, promises of services, quality second hand objects. If you have something to offer please contact email@example.com.
- How can I give a large sum of money to Extinction Rebellion and remain anonymous?
Other than in exceptional circumstances donor details will be published for all donations of £5,000 or more. If you wish to make an anonymous donation of over £5,000 and have a credible reason to not disclose your identity please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.*
Donor details won’t be published for donations below £5,000, or for donations via our crowdfunding campaigns where the donor chooses not to share their name.
*We value honesty and transparency. It is what we are asking of our government and world leaders. We bank with an ethical institution that checks money is not derived from inappropriate sources. They will reject donations where we are unable to provide context and detail. Therefore even if your name is not published by us your details will be shared with our representatives who have a legal or practical need to know. Please email email@example.com if you would like clarification.
- Why can’t my donation be part of the Gift Aid scheme?
Extinction Rebellion is not a registered charity. This is because we are responding to the scale of the emergency using civil disobedience against the governments’ criminal inaction, and consequently we are not eligible to claim Gift Aid from the UK Government.
We are asking our donors who understand the emergency and believe in our approach to forgo the tax benefits of giving and support us regardless. We know this is a step away from conventional philanthropy, but conventional charity efforts have not been sufficient to divert our current path towards extinction.
Thank you for helping to fund our Rebellion.
