Culture Declares Emergency
Celebrate the publication of the Letters to the Earth book with the curating team and contributors.
Representing the largest creative response to the climate and ecological crisis to date, the book born of the Letters to the Earth campaign by Culture Declares Emergency weaves together the voices of children, parents, poets, scientists, playwrights, actors and authors.
An afternoon of performances and music with our contributors and curators to celebrate the release of this historic anthology.
In a one of a kind performance of Letters, award-winning actor and director Simon McBurney of Complicite will be joined by other contributors – environmental campaigner Minnie Rahman, environmental lawyer Farhana Yamin, poet Nick Drake, author Rob Cowen, co-founder of UK Student Climate Network Daniela Torres Perez, folk musician Sam Lee, Mesadorm front-woman Blythe Pepino and many more – from young to old!
Drinks and light refreshments will be provided as well as the opportunity to purchase copies of the book.
We believe this book can be a tool for active hope and for change in a world engulfed in crisis. Join us.
Tickets to the event are £10 / £5 and can be purchased here:
We’re excited to be hosting this event at Arboretum; a space designed to connect innovators, change makers and thought leaders committed to finding solutions to environmental challenges.
All proceeds from book sales are going towards ongoing creative environmental campaigning.
