Wormwood Scrubs, London, United Kingdom
Extinction Rebellion - Hammersmith and Fulham
Come and join us for a guided walk around Wormwood Scrubs, where we’ll have the chance to discuss rewilding and the ecology, history and pressing issues affecting the scrubs today.
‘The scrubs is a place of significant ecological importance, right in our doorstep! . The ‘Scrubs’ has about 18 hectares of tree cover and 22 hectares of long grass meadow with almost 100 species of birds and 250 species of wildflowers (one sixth of the UK flora).’
We’ll also get together for a social afterwards. So bring picnic food and a blanket.
And please bring sky blue clothes/sheets/blankets for an art installation to be revealed on the day!
We’ll meet in the Car Park on Scrubs Lane at 11am.
