Extinction Rebellion Waltham Forest - Events and Announcements

On the first Saturday of the Autumn Rebellion, The Future is Here site will be full of activities for families celebrating our wonderful trees!

Open to anyone, for as long or short a time as you would like to stay. Please come and say hello!

Schedule for the day:
11:00 – 12.00 Nicola Davies (zoologist and children’s author on trees and biodiversity)

11:00 – 13.30 Tree costume making for Pop-Up Forest performance

11:00 – 16.00 Rope Making

12:00 – 14.00 Crafts – using material and tissue to create trees
– painting ‘veggies underground’
– making friendship bands for rebels in roads

13:00 – 13:30 Storytime

13.30 – 14.45 Create pop-up forest performance (a chance for all ages to come together and make a short performance with a children’s theatre director in our tree costumes. No experience necessary – absolutely everyone welcome)

14:00 – 15.00 Nicola Davies (zoologist and children’s author on trees and biodiversity)

15:00 – 15.15 Pop-Up Forest Performance

15:00 – 18.00 Crafts – using material & tissue to create trees
