How are you planning to support yourselves and fellow rebels coming out of 2 weeks of rebellion?
How will you support rebels after arrest, trauma, prolonged heightened stress?
How will we process these difficulties to provide nutrients for new growth, healing and resilience?
This meeting is for anyone interested in post-action regenerative culture at the local/working/affinity group level.
We will explore what arose during rebellion, what might arise post-action and strategies to support each other.
We will also take you through guidelines, resources and trainings we have created to support you and your local groups
We are deeply grateful to all those that have bravely committed themselves to supporting non-violent direct action during or preceding Rebellion Week, challenging the existing system and building within it our vision of a regenerative culture!
Thousands of people have been working in highly pressured and stressed environments, witnessing or being arrested, exposed to trauma, sleep deprivation…and yet we keep working with passion and vigour, held by connection to each other, our values and nature.
Whilst in the warm nest of rebellion, comforted and held by the connection to each other and a collective purpose, we can easily neglect paying attention to how this is affecting us, in our mind, heart, and body, and doing those things that nourish us.
We acknowledge the many emotional challenges arising out of rebellion. Sadly it is not uncommon in activism to have experiences such as burnout, trauma and grief.
We believe that if we create spaces to explore and allow for the completeness of our experiences and consciously process them, individually and collectively, we have an opportunity to process these difficulties to provide nutrients for new growth, healing and resilience.
We have created resources, guidelines and spaces to engage in those regenerative practices.
With Love and Gratitude
